INTL Live Project Brief:

Reframe a problem you have in your life through humour.

This project is inspired by those annoying and tedious conversations we fall into with strangers. For me, these conversations tend to happen with men, which brought me to look at the history of women, particularly witchcraft.

I think most of us associate burning at the stake with women, although upon further digging I found that the practice burned both genders for their perceived crimes.

The language connected to witchcraft, particularly “ Burn” stuck with me when approaching this project. Staying in the theme of the era, I was inspired to combine the strange art of the middle ages and Shakespearen insults to put an end to problematic conversations.
